Micaela Pellegrino

She holds a degree in Medicine and Surgery and completed her specialty training in Endocrinology and Diabetology at the University of Turin.

She currently serves as an Consultant Physician in the Endocrinology and Diabetology Department at Santa Croce e Carle Hospital in Cuneo, where she heads the Diabetology and Metabolic Diseases Service.

Within metabolic medicine, her main interests are diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular protection, with a focus on the interplay between environment, eating behavior, lifestyle, and overall health and well-being. Her approach applies the lens of gender medicine, recognizing how prevention, risk factors, and response to treatment are shaped by biological, socioeconomic, and cultural differences among individuals.

Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, home life, and time spent in nature.
