Mariano Costamagna, born in 1951, former vice president of Confindustria Cuneo under the presidency of Mauro Gola, Mariano Costamagna from Cherasco has been the founder and owner of large companies, many of which operate in manufacturing and agri-food sectors. He is also the honorary president of Westport Fuel Systems Italia srl (formerly Mtm srl). In 2012, he was awarded the title of Officer of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, and from 2022 until his candidacy for the presidency of Confindustria Cuneo, he was a member of the General Council of the Crc Foundation.
